Emily's 72 Hour Kit--(Example)

72 Hour Kits are EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to have for each member of your family. Hazards we are most vulnerable to in Clark County include earthquakes, flooding, wildfire, extreme heat and communicable disease.

This is what I have in my 72 Hour Kit:

BACKPACK

*Corded phone-Phone lines have their own power source. Every home has a telephone interface box which is usually mounted on an outside wall where the phone lines runs into your house. You can plug your corded phone into this box (even if it's not your own home) and have a working phone line. **This is for EMERGENCIES ONLY!!

MONEY
Keep very small bills (like 1's) in a ziplock bag

PERSONAL DOCUMENTS
I took all of my family documents and scanned them. Then I shrunk them so that all of our social security cards are on one page, all of our birth certificates are on one page, etc.
